- Local Shop Tow to Virgils for Repair
- with vehicle in shop, cranked engine to find a rattle under the hood, inspected to find the high pressure fuel pump has one bolt broken off and other bolt is very loose and backed out half way. high pressure fuel pump appears to be in a like new condition. called customer to inform and found fuel pump was replaced a year ago. removed fuel pump to find no internal issues with the camshaft or fuel pump roller. depressed fuel pump plunger and found pump is not seized.
- Removed High Pressure pump and drilled out bolt broke off in cylinder head. reinstalled fuel pump with new bolts to test fuel pump operation.
